Nakambala Cycling Club brothers, Isaac and Justin Banda finished the race on fifth and sixth positions clocking 3:26:29 and 3:26:29:01 respectively while 18-year old Andrew Simunga of Finish Line followed closely on 3:26:29:02 to take up the seventh position.
Upcoming cyclist, Obert Chembe of John Laing Community Club, who is the current leader of the Yellow Jersey ‘Ten Race Classic Series’ finished the race on ninth position with his clubmate Effort Chiyambele emerging 10th.
Despite his poor show at the weekend, Chembe still leads the Yellow Jersey Championship race on 49 points while fast improving Sakala is on second position on 42 points.
CAZ president, Expendito Chipalo who released the results yesterday, said Banda had also maintained his third place on 38 points.
Other riders in the top 10 include Benius Moonga (32 points), Andrew Zulu (26), Emmanuel Lungu (24), Henry Mpulumba (22), Justin Banda and Trust Munang’andu on 20 points each and Jupiter Nameembo 17.
