Domesco Dong Thap team's Dinh Quoc Viet, 24, finished fifth to grab the yellow jersey from his teammate Nguyen Van Tai, who finished in 25th place.

Viet moved up four spots to top the overall standings while Tai dropped down to fifth place.

Nguyen Minh Thuy held on to the green jersey with a finish alongside his rivals Do Tuan Anh and Le Van Quynh.

Defending champion Nguyen Nam Cuc moved down one spot to 10th place and his chance to defend the title became slimmer, as he is now two minutes and 12 seconds behind the leader.
