Aitor is a great climber, as amateur he rode for Belca (2005 and 2006) and Bidelan-Kirolgi(2007), improving step by step and becoming one of the best climbers of the Basque Country during 2007.
He is also a good student. He is finishing his studies of Engineering in the school Tecnun in San Sebastian.
